Many small business owners engage in social networking platforms such as FaceBook where they converse with like minded entrepreneurs, Today I came upon a conversation where the OP had asked a simple yet quite profound question.
What are your top tips for boosting your sales and getting cashflow happening?
The conversation was initiated by a new startup company called Bizoomi and from the looks of it they are off to a great start with almost 900 FaceBook fans.
What caught my attention though is the fact that none of the small business owners seemed to be initiating any sales or marketing between themselves, either as a services barter type swap or client referral network or anything of the sort. I think that there is a huge opportunity for a clever entrepreneur to put something together on FaceBook or any of the other popular social networking sites to really empower small and micro businesses and make it easy for them to share. One thing that springs to mind as an SEO is the lost opportunity for these business folks to ask for links on each others sites. Yes I know reciprocol linking is frowned upon by Google, but keep in mind that Google does not frown upon ALL reciprocal linking just excessive linking.
So the next time you are on FaceBook or Twitter or other social networking platform ask for a link, you might be surprised at the outcome.
That's All For Now,
